By booking a sauna appointment with The Hot Box Co, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:


 

Health and Medical Conditions:
All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any medical conditions, underlying health problems, use prescription drugs or are pregnant, you must consult your GP before making a booking. The Hot Box Co cannot accept responsibility for customers with pre-existing conditions.

If any of the below apply to you (please note, this is not a comprehensive list) we advise you to seek
your GP’s advice: -

ï‚· If you're had a heart attack or stroke
ï‚· If you're taking any medications
ï‚· If you have cardiovascular conditions and/or problems
ï‚· You have epilepsy
ï‚· You have asthma or breathing conditions
ï‚· High or low blood pressure
ï‚· If you have arterial disease
ï‚· If you have joint or muscle injury

 

Age Requirement:
Children of 16 years and under are permitted to use the Sauna with an Adult Family Member/Guardian present at ALL TIMES during the hire and use of the sauna (A waiver/terms and conditions must state the relationship between the parent/guardian and the minor and is signed by them
accordingly). No under 5’s allowed in Hot Tubs. No under 16’s allowed in Ice baths/Plunge Pool/Cold showers.

 

Sauna Etiquette and Safety:
Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times.


The sauna is wood-fired and is extremely hot. Do not touch the stove, stove door, flu chimney, sauna
rocks, or surrounding fire guards, and only as instructed to pour water onto the stones.

Arrive having recently showered, as we only have cool showers for rinsing. Do not wear or use any of your own products or lotions inside of the saunas, as they may contain ingredients which can be harmful or slippery.
 Only swimwear may be worn in the sauna and nudity is not permitted.

Remove shoes before entering, Enter and exit the sauna using the steps provided and please sit on a towel at all times. Keep access points clear to allow others to enter and exit safely.

Sauna sessions should last no more than 15-20 minutes without breaks.
Follow the sauna host's instructions on pouring water onto hot rocks. When pouring water on the rocks, start from the point furthest away from you to prevent scalding.
Only provided sauna water should be poured on the hot rocks.

Do not add anything to the sauna water.




 

Alcohol, Smoking, and Jewellery:
No alcohol consumption is allowed in the sauna.


Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the sauna.


Jewellery should be removed to prevent burning.


We reserve the right to refuse entry to customers who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.



 

Swimming:
If the sauna is next to a body of water and you would like to swim, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer, can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures and varying conditions. All persons enter the water at their own risk.



 

Group Bookings:
If you are making a booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure that all users are aware of the Terms and Conditions of safe sauna use as stated above.

 

Admission and Refusal:
The Hot Box Co operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons or for any other reasons that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.



 

If you cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your booking, you won’t be charged. However, for cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours or no-shows, we won’t be able to offer a refund.

 

Liability:
Exposure to hot equipment, slippery surfaces caused by water, ice, snow or other substances, hot temperatures, airborne illnesses and contaminants is undertaken at your own risk. Property is left at your own risk. The Hot Box Co is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, or claim that may arise as a result of your use of our facilities or services.



 

Etiquette and Conduct:
You will behave in a respectful manner to fellow sauna customers and you will abide by the rules and regulations of The Hot Box Co.


No alcohol or smoking or vaping is allowed onsite.


Customers must be fully covered at all times outside the sauna.



 

Changes to Terms and Conditions:
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Clients are responsible for reviewing the current Terms and Conditions before booking a sauna session.
